On October 12, 2023, our Project Lead, BGen(ret.) Jaak Tarien, received an invitation to provide an update on the SDMMS project goals and status at the 27th Project Team Movement & Transport (PT M&T) meeting, held at the European Defence Agency headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting brought together Military Mobility leaders from nearly all EU nations, who showed keen interest in the unique capabilities and opportunities that SDMMS will offer once deployed in Europe.

Numerous crucial questions were raised and discussed, focusing on SDMMS resilience in crisis situations and its compatibility with existing and future information systems in the logistics domain. Another topic of significant interest was the opportunity for nations to join SDMMS. The ongoing development phase aims to deliver a working prototype by 2025, with potential for rapid expansion in subsequent phases.
